Feisty Flower and Kittens Poem

Most people learn best or are emotionally touched first through sight. Representation from each sensory category adds to the completeness of a creative process. I will include pictures on this site that have spoken to me through their beauty or through their symbolic reflection.



This Petunia was discovered growing in a crack in my driveway. I immediately loved its persistence to grow against the odds. Its color and loveliness, contrasted by the dark pavement, added beauty to my appreciation of its feisty character.

Since this is neighbor cat territory, it seems only appropriate to add their voice!
KITTENS

Kittens romping

Oblivious beyond play,

Tails and Tussles,

A gentle fray.

Quick to hide,

Startled quite easily-

Enjoy a moment and

Don't approach them noisily.

It does take time

To be known;

Quiet comfort

Must be grown.
